Dorothy M. Clark, owner of DMC Design, specializes in tradeshow exhibit design, graphic design, and promotional items including silk-screened or embroidered apparel. The company, established in 1991, fills a need for an integrated approach to tradeshow marketing, based on design and followed through with production.
Dorothy’s career as an exhibit designer extends through eighteen years at Giltspur/Pittsburgh, one of the largest exhibit companies of its time, and continues to the present with her own design firm. Her business is WBE certified by WBENC and also by the state of Pennsylvania.
One of her first exhibit design projects with DMC Design was voted among the top ten of the most remembered exhibits of the year. She also has several awards for graphic design, including a MARC of Excellence award. Dorothy has written articles, which were published by Dynamic Business and E-Magnify. During her years at Giltspur, her work was published in the Exhibitor Magazine and in the Print Casebooks Best in Exhibition Design volumes 1 & 2.
Currently, Dorothy is a member of the Monroeville Area Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of the Marketing Committee. In addition, she is the Membership Chair of the Business Marketing Association’s Pittsburgh Chapter, and an active member of the St. Maurice Parish Pastoral Council and Marketing Committee Chair.
Past activities include: The Industrial Designers Society of America, Conference Co-chair and initiated the Exhibit Section; Founded the IAF, an organization dedicated to families with internationally adopted children.
